2018 Chairman’s message:
Mukilteo is truly a wonderful community in which to live, work and play. Being on the shores of Elliott Bay make the views exceptionally beautiful. If you enjoy being outdoors, Mukilteo is the community for you. Our town offers a variety of activities: hiking Japanese Gulch, playing golf at the beautiful Harbour Pointe Golf Club, four aviation museums and playing on the seashore, whether it’s beachcombing, bonfires, whale watching or scuba diving from the dive park, the day is amazing!
I am excited for the opportunity to lead our local Chamber of Commerce and the thriving business community. Our Chamber’s Mission Statement reads, “We are dedicated to promoting business development and economic growth in our area.” As business leaders in this community, we work to offer a support and innovative ways to facilitate ways our area’s industries and companies can continue to thrive and evolve. As such I am proud that our Chamber is partnering with the City of Mukilteo and Waste Management to bring the “Mukilteo Cares” Green Business Certification Program to our businesses in 2018.
With an ever-changing global climate, careful planning and conservative but forward-thinking actions on the part of the Chamber, we will continue to seek opportunities beneficial for our businesses, continue to present our chamber members with ways to network, offer educational opportunities or leadership courses, and foster ways to actively sustain a viable business community.
Throughout the year, we offer programs like our monthly Business After Hours, Breakfast at the Staybridge, Lunch & Learn, and a weekly networking group. We host several area-wide events that spotlight members in our Chamber, such as the Health & Wellness Fair, Outdoor Movies and Amazing Race Mukilteo and this year, to specifically focus on new businesses and entrepreneurs we will offer a Small Business Expo. Our Chamber nurtures ways to partner and promote our businesses and community at large.
We will continue to be alert to the needs of our business community and work to provide a sounding board for our members.
Our Chamber office also serves as the Mukilteo Visitor Information Center and welcomes visits from both residents and business leaders as well as those passing through Mukilteo. For questions about membership, Chamber activities and programs, or simply about the community in general, interested persons may stop in or call our office at 425-347-1456.
Again, welcome to the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce.
