Vintage Aircraft Weekend: Big Band Dinner Dance

On Friday evening, September 4th, Historic Flight Foundation will open its doors at 6:00 p.m. for a vintage 1940s dinner dance featuring the seventeen piece "Kings of Swing." Period attire is encouraged. Many will appear in uniform. Otherwise, business casual. Join in on a group dance lesson led by professional swing dancers. Only 250 tickets are available for this event. Tickets are $60 each.

Vintage Aircraft Weekend

The main event begins Saturday morning at 9 a.m. VAW features a first-class Speakers Bureau, live music, a flying session of vintage aircraft, vintage automobiles and military vehicles, fine food, vintage bicycles, vintage clothing and uniforms, and a host of opportunities for kids and parents to interact with displays and vendors. The final flight will conclude at 5 p.m.

Bill McCutcheon addresses their backgrounds, personalities and idiosyncrasies. Successful air race pilots enjoyed celebrity status and often prospered financially.
