At least 48 people are known to be buried in Mukilteo’s historic cemetery, including the founders of Mukilteo, Morris H. Frost and J.D. Fowler. The first known burial occurred in 1873 when Fowler’s brother, Captain N. B. Fowler, was laid to rest after he drowned in a storm. The last known burial was in 1919. At least one Native American and three Japanese workers are buried in the cemetery, which is on the Washington State Historic Register.
